THE ITALIAN TROTTER – your foodie dream tour® (hereinafter referred to as “The Italian Trotter”) is a certified Italian tour operator dedicated to organizing tailor made luxury holidays in Italy. We are an agency specialized in travel experiences; offering exclusive, high quality service and taking personal care of customers all over the world.
The use of the site www.theitaliantrotter.com and the access to utility and functionality is subject to acceptance by the user, as defined in the following conditions and applicable laws.
By accessing the Site, and referring to the same, the user accepts, without limitation or qualification, the conditions of use specified below. The following terms and conditions govern your use of this website and by continuing, you agree to them.
The Site owns to The Italian Trotter S.r.l., a company with registered office in Via Francesco Guala 77/A, Torino, Italy.
For any request, you can contact The Italian Trotter at the mail address indicated in the “Contacts” section of the Site.

1. TAILOR MADE EXPERIENCE: HOW DOES IT WORK
Each user can register on the Site, following the instructions for filling in and inserting their data in the appropriate registration form, if he intends to purchase the travel services offered through the Site.
In order to give you the best service, we have created a special survey that will help us identify your passions, interests and needs. At the end of the procedure and after you have added your personal information, you accept, without restrictions or reservations, the present Terms and conditions.
By filling it out you will immediately discover the type of traveler you are and, based on your results, we’ll start designing the journey that suits you best. The first itinerary you receive won’t include the names of hotels, restaurants, producers, etc.; but a thorough guidebook with the description of each day and every activity that you are going to experience during your trip.
This itinerary will be available and bookable for 3 days, in which we can discuss together any possible changes/replacements, according to your personal preferences and try our best to accommodate any special requests.

The itinerary includes:
• private transfer from/to the Airport/Train station with a personal English speaking driver. The Italian Trotter expects each passenger to have 1 checked-in bag and 1 carry-on bag. If you are expecting more luggage during your travel, please inform us as soon as possible, so we can quote the most appropriate vehicle to accommodate your party.
• all private transfers from/to the Hotels during your stay for the planned visits and meals
• all nights stay;
• all breakfasts at the Hotels;
• all the meals specified in the itinerary;
• english speaking tour leader for the whole stay;
• tickets for any kind of visit specified in the itinerary.

The itinerary DOES NOT include:
• all meals not mentioned in the program;
• municipality city tax to pay at each Hotel;
• all that is not expressly listed in ‘The itinerary includes’.

2. PRICING
All Rates, unless otherwise specified, are expressed in “Euro” currency and plus VAT.
Insurance or other costs are not included, unless specified.
The customer’s credit card will be charged in the local currency and will be exchanged by the customer’s bank at the exchange rate applicable on the day the bank processes the charge. For this reason, there may be a variation in the price quoted and the actual rate processed on the customer’s credit card.
Please note that city taxes and tips are not included in any of our pricing.

3. PAYMENT
The Italian Trotter makes all necessary arrangements upon confirmation so all services, if not otherwise stated, are required to be pre-paid by credit card (Mastercard and Visa) or wire transfer.
In order to book and secure your personal itinerary it is necessary to proceed with the total payment of the itinerary, using the secured “PayWayEmail” payment system for completion of the booking process. This system allows you to pay easily through a secure payment link that will be generated and sent by us directly to your email address.
With the final payment, the itinerary/quotation document is accepted as Travel Contract. The price of your travel arrangements is fully guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharges.


4. CONFIRMATION
Once the deposit payment is completed, you will then get the confirmation e-mail and receive shortly the final detailed itinerary with all the names of the hotels, restaurants, producers and activities of your exclusive trip. By this time, any eventual changes/replacements are considered depending on availability and the price may vary.
4.1. Services Reconfirmation
Approximately 3 weeks before your arrival our team will send over a final document with a summary of all the activities confirmed and the necessary details for your stay.


5. CANCELLATION, CHANGES AND UNUSED SERVICES

5.1. Management of refunds resulting from the cancellation of tourist packages, due to the health emergency determined by CORONAVIRUS.
Our 100% MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE: If your travel is impacted by your country or Italian’s COVID-related restrictions, you can decide to either receive a complete refund or a voucher in place of a refund. The voucher will have a validity of 18 months from issue.
5.1.1. Hotel Cancellation Policy
The Italian Trotter will refer to the specific Cancellation Policy of each Hotel, that will be advised at the time of booking.
5.1.2. Safety first
Cancellations might be necessary due to natural events or unfavorable weather conditions. The Italian Trotter will follow local authority instructions for your safety and the safety of its personnel. Cancellations cannot be made if local authorities consider conditions to be safe.
5.1.3. Rescheduling policy
We guarantee that will try to re-book any cancelled excursion for a better day, according to your schedule and the last minute availability. If rescheduling is not possible, The Italian Trotter will refund the cost of the outdoor activity as (and limited to) horse trekking, hot-air balloon and helicopter.
5.2. Cancellation policy not due to Covid reasons
Upon confirmation, The Italian Trotter requires the full payment of the itinerary; please keep in mind that once you have pre-paid and reserved your Itinerary, we immediately make all the necessary arrangements and purchases to give you the best possible touring experiences.
All cancellation notices must be in writing (by e-mail only at info@theitaliantrotter.com); cancellations made 30 days prior to the program start date will receive a 30% refund of the total payment. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the program start date will not be eligible for a refund.
5.2.1 Unforeseen circumstances
Service(s) may be subject to change. The Italian Trotter will make best efforts to contact participants to inform them of any significant changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
Please note that The Italian Trotter cannot be held responsible for changes caused by the following circumstances:
• Flight, train, ferry, cruise ship or any other public transportation, delays or cancellations;
• Luggage loss;
• Strikes of public transportation personnel.
5.2.2. Safety first
Cancellations might be necessary due to natural events or unfavorable weather conditions. The Italian Trotter will follow local authority instructions for your safety and the safety of its personnel. Cancellations cannot be made if local authorities consider conditions to be safe.
5.3. Changes
5.3.1. Unforeseen circumstances

Service(s) may be subject to change. The Italian Trotter will make best efforts to contact participants to inform them of any significant changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Flight, train, ferry, cruise ship or any other public transportation, delays or cancellations;
• Luggage loss;
• Strikes of public transportation personnel.
5.4. Unused Services
No refunds will be made for any service(s) not used during the trip, unless The Italian Trotter cancels the service(s). If the services are cancelled by The Italian Trotter, customers will receive a refund of the value of the service(s).


6. WINE CLUB MEMBERSHIP: HOW DOES IT WORKS
Registration to Wine Club allow access to unique and hard to find wines, limited production labels and grand cru that we will select for you. The membership can be purchased only in countries where it’s legal to ship wine to.
By filling out the form with your:
• Name and Surname;
• country;
• e-mail;
you will receive a secure link by “PayWayEmail” payment system for completion of the membership. This system allows you to pay easily through a secure payment link that will be generated and sent by us directly to your email address. (All major credit and debit cards are accepted). Once the payment is completed, you will receive your membership that allow you to receive 2 shipments per year (Spring and Fall) of 6 premium wine bottles each, directly at your place.
6.1. Shipment and shipping times
The shipment time depends on your country of origin and normally takes place, except for unforeseen events, within five – ten (5-10) working days according to the scheduled shipment.
Shipping costs are always included in the membership.
The Italian Trotter will not be liable in front of the Customer, in any case, of any direct or indirect damages, of any nature whatsoever, caused by any errors, faults or delays in shipment caused by the appointed carrier.


7. EXCEPTIONS
Exceptions to the above conditions will be considered case by case to better assist you. We understand that cancellation or changes can occur, The Italian Trotter is fully committed to deliver the best service and we will make every effort to recover the situation.


8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The Italian Trotter does not own or operate any of the companies providing accommodations, transportation, meals or other itinerary components for programs.
The Italian Trotter assumes no liability for damages occurred to persons or property due to 1) the fact of the injured party (including initiatives independently undertaken by the injured party during the execution of the Travel Contract); 2) the fact of a third party of an unpredictable or inevitable nature; 3) circumstances unrelated to the services provided in the Travel Contract; 4) unforeseeable circumstances; 5) force majeure; 6) circumstances that The Italian Trotter could not reasonably foresee or resolve according to professional diligence.


9. INSURANCE
Insurance or other costs are not included, unless specified. We encourage all customers, while traveling to apply for Travel Insurance including medical expenses coverage. This will allow you travel with peace of mind.


10. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY
The Italian Trotter complies fully with the rules laid down by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) , and by Legislative Decree 196/2003, as modified by legislative decree 101/2018, as well as all the provisions in the matter by legal sources and supervisory authorities, Italian and European.
In particular, the personal data that are requested to you to purchase the travel services offered through the Site are necessary to execute the Travel Contract, and will be processed with the methods and purposes all better specified and provided in the dedicated page of this site, which you should read, at the following link Privacy & Cookie.
10.1. Photographic material
Prior specific customer’s consent, The Italian Trotter reserves the right to use and publish any picture or video taken during a tour on The Italian Trotter website or social channels.


11. TERMS AND CONDITIONS CHANGES
The Italian Trotter reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice; the customer may check the current text of the same at any time, taking note of them as they are updated from time to time.
The Terms and Conditions and any subsequent modifications that The Italian Trotter should make to you, are not retroactive to the date of the update.


12. APPLICABLE LAW, JURISDICTION AND PLACE OF JURISDICTION
The present Conditions of sale are subject to Italian law and jurisdiction.
All disputes relating to the interpretation and/or execution of the travel contract will be the exclusive competence of the Court of Torino.
